Start of the Journey 7.2023
We have started our journey in mid of 2023.
Visiting different manufacturers around the world.
Choosing the best quality and affordable price factory.
It was a huge investment for us to go around and visit factories, not knowing if this would work.
Testing samples and setup 1.2024
At the beginning of 2024, we have tested different models.
We have set up our website and social media profile.
With a great of luck, we have approached 6 clients who are willing to purchase our products at super low price without physically seeing the products.
Reaching out to the partners 6.2024
With products at our center, we have tried to reach out different communities and influencers. Working on our marketing.
It was very hard to find some partner that want to grow together. It is understandable to look for quick money, but missing long-term benefits are most people’s weakness.
We have grown a number of customers and supporters, luckily and thankfully.
Partnering up with a Hong Kong company 8.2024
We have collaborated with a Hong Kong company to manage our online services, as well as quality assurance on manufacturing our products from time to time.
Actrica is now managed by both Greek and Hong Kong company, together growing our new business.
Expanding to Switzerland 9.2024
We have a partner in Switzerland who want to bring this exciting culture to his homeland. This promoted us to expand our business to Switzerland. We are still trying to reach into the community and share our great products and culture of overlanding.
Expanding to Cyprus 11.2024
A Cyprus partner has seek an opportunity to expand this business to Cyprus, considering there might has less competitor.
He has invested a whole set of Actrica equipment, get ready for business expansion to Cyprus. However, the shipping logistics might not be easy as we have expected. We are still finding a way to minimize the shipping costs in order to provide the same selling price to Cyprus customers.
Business remodeling 1.2025
Noticing the sales are not reaching as expected, we have been remodeling our business into a brand which focus on values where most brands cannot provide – Tent identity | After-sales | Community.
Report of stolen roof top tent can be seen regularly on overlanding communities groups, but we have never seen any brands try to approach any solution for this problem. Hence, we have think of creating deterring effects with some minor changes, by customizing the name on the tent, linked to our website for checking. The thieves had to remove the strongly nailed plate and printed canvas without damaging it in order to reuse the tents. With additional security nuts and bolts, and GPS tracker, it also provides deterring effect and trace back solution.
We provides warranty with more options comparing to before. (Old buyers can enjoy our new warranty services!)
Sending the tent back and forth is never a good option. We have adapt the solutions as other brands are using too, by shipping the repairing material, repairing kit and tutorial for the clients to self-repair. The tent has a simple combination method, any canvas can be replaced with a little effort.
Actrica Explorer is a new idea, prioritizing sustainability and growth of our community globally.
We hope this platform can bring each overlander to this newly built community, sharing their experiences and tips to each other, benefiting and learning from each other.
We offer a platform for people to resell their tent or gears, with a better browsing experiences. More filters will be added with more listed products.
We also offer a platform for free, to encourage owners who barely use their roof top tent or other gear, to share their them to people who want to try, while earning financially from them. We will be the third party to keep their rental record confidentially without fees.
Growing the Actrica explorer community and platform is currently our first priority. This will be our foundation of the future roadmap of Actrica!
Preparation of full carbon fiber roof top tent development 3.2025
A full hard shell carbon fiber is everyone’s dream where it fixes a lot of pain points of soft shell and common hard shell roof top tent, and is giving a modern high tech feeling to the user.
But we can say the current products include a Korean brand, USA brand, and a China brand, are not practical enough. Why do we say this?
Firstly, they are super heavy. Let’s say the minimum is 120kg. How does does a common SUV support this rock? Which means owner has either had a super strong 4×4, or a modified car, not mentioning about the legal issue.
Secondly, if it can provide a full hard shell carbon fiber, then where is the full electricity system? Why you still need the owner to leave the car, climb up and setup the tent?
Thirdly, the tent mechanics may not be the best as the collapsed walls will bring the dirts, snow, and raindrop into the tent.
Fourthly, it is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. Talking about 10-30k. We suggest you to buy an RV instead.
There are quite a few more pain points that the current products in the market have. Which is the reason we are inspired to develop a new carbon fiber tent. But we won’t mention our designs here, yet. Until someday. Let’s see.
Plan : Development of full carbon fiber roof top tent Q3 2025
With the success of gaining the development funding, we will start the Actrica+ project in August.
Planning to finish the hardware and software prototype in 1 year, and complete all testing and patents in another year.
Possibly launching the Actrica+ in 2027-2028.
Plan : Actrica Membership NFT
We will introduce the membership system with Web3 technology. NFT / RWA is a form of digital membership which are decentralized in the system. Not only making use of this to provide membership-only benefits from time to time, but also using the membership funds to support our Actrica+ project. We are currently looking for a fund support, and giving back a final product to each early supporter.
There will be more and more strategies and plans to be launched in terms of Web3 technology. Please stay tuned!
Plan : Actrica Explorer growth Q3 2026
We are foreseeing hundreds of listing of reselling tents and gears, and gears for rental in Q2 2026. As well as a hundred of bloggers has uploaded content to our platform.

Plan : Rent-to-own Model
Rent-to-own model is another method of installment. However, this will be limited to used tent only.
We currently does not have sufficient stock and physical stores to provide such services.
However, this might be one of the best business model given that modern people may not be always available for the nature and invest that much into a hobby.
Plan : Power system distributor
With the growth of battery technology, a portable power source, portable air-conditioner, and other portable electrical appliances are one of our goals to provide to our fellow customers. This can make our brand become more a one-stop providers, especially for amateur or new adventurers, who want to keep in touch with nature but under a comfortable environment.
We are still looking for a sustainable and affordable manufacturers.
Plan : Trade-in program
Trade-in program is to promote sustainability, where we will accept any brand of roof top tent, for a discount on purchasing our new roof top tent.
We will then list this to Actrica Explorer platform to resell, or rent out.
Hopefully less and less roof top tent can be found in the garbage.
